I’m sincerely speechless, which is a huge feat as anyone who knows me could attest!
It really is an impressive accomplishment. Why do you think our community honored you with this amazing recognition?
Honestly, I’m extremely humbled by the acknowledgment from my clients and everyone that voted this year. I had no idea I was even considered for such an achievement. When I think about it, it’s just totally amazing to me. I value every single one my clients and really take pride in providing them with the best service possible. They put their faith in my abilities to help them and I take that responsibility very seriously.
It’s interesting you mentioned “service”. In fact, that’s kind of become your catchphrase, “I sell service, not houses”, right?
Well, the funny thing is I’m not really a big fan of catchphrases; it just came out of what I’ve always done naturally.
What does selling service mean to you then?
Like most of us, I’m in the service business. It doesn’t matter if you’re selling real estate, new cars or even a waitress taking an order at a restaurant; we all make our living providing service to others. Any type of career involves requires hard work and dedication. I chose to be a real estate agent, which means being there to service my clients. If it means a late night appointment, hosting an open house on a weekend or fielding offers on my cell when I’m trying to cut the grass, it’s all part of it.
That’s a refreshing perspective, sound advice for any career-oriented individual. Speaking of, what’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Without question, you should never forget where you come from. My father always reminded me growing up to never lose sight of who you are and where you come from, it’s what makes everyone unique.
Very true. Your father sounds like a wise man.
He was. I can remember vividly how hard he worked as I was growing up. There were times when my dad would regularly put in 12-hour days and would always come home with a smile on his face. His positive, upbeat attitude has really helped shape my perspective on the world.
